Successfully complete a pathway programme at Newcastle University International Study Centre and earn a progression scholarship worth £3,000 off your first year of degree study.

Am I eligible?

• Students must have international fee status, be self-funded and normally domiciled in either China or the UK prior to joining their pathway programme to qualify.

• Available to students progressing from an International Foundation, International Year One or a Pre-Master's programme in September 2027.

• Students must achieve an overall grade of 75% or above in their pathway programme.

Tuition fees typically range from around £6,000 to £29,500 depending on the programme and length of study. Additional costs such as visa fees, insurance, health costs and living expenses should also be considered.

Newcastle University International Study Centre tuition fees include teaching, academic support, welfare support and access to university facilities. They do not include textbooks, insurance, living expenses or visa-related costs.

In addition to tuition fees, international students should budget for:

• Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS)

• accommodation and living expenses

• Insurance

• enrolment fees

• study materials (including lab or studio fees if applicable).

Yes. International students may be eligible for tuition fee discounts of up to £5,000, as well as additional scholarships when progressing to university.

Most scholarships require you to:

1. apply for your International Study Centre programme

2. receive and accept your offer

3. submit a scholarship application (if required).

Some scholarships are automatically awarded, while others require a separate application.

All scholarships are partial tuition fee discounts, rather than full funding. The value and availability depend on your programme and academic performance.
