A pathway programme is a preparation course for international students who do not yet meet the academic or English language requirements for direct entry to a UK university degree. It helps students develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed at degree-level study.

The centre offers three main programme types:

• International Foundation – prepares students for the first year of an undergraduate degree

• International Year One – equivalent to the first year of a degree and leads directly to Year 2

• Pre-Master’s – prepares students for postgraduate study.

There are also a range of English language programmes for students who need to improve their English before starting a pathway programme.

Students can continue to degrees in many subject areas, including:

Students can apply directly through the International Study Centre or through an authorised education counsellor. After submitting an application, students may receive a conditional or unconditional offer depending on whether entry requirements have been met.
