Programme overview

• Develop your creativity, engineering skills and design thinking process to solve the engineering challenges of the present times and the future.
• Develop key knowledge and skills across a wide range of Mechanical Engineering topics, including biomedical engineering, design and manufacturing, energy, mechatronics and sustainable transport engineering.
• Improve your English language study skills within the context of engineering.
• Gain hands-on experience through specialised equipment within labs at Newcastle University International Study Centre and the School of Engineering.
• Study your pathway and degree with an iCAS (integrated Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)) and no need for visa renewal.
• Complete Year 1 in a supportive environment for international students, then continue directly to Year 2 of your degree.
